Meet the Flock

About the Team

We're the Ferocious Turbo Chickens, FIRST Tech Challenge team #37271 from Roseburg, Oregon, competing through Compass Home Education.

Our Team

Torin

Torin is a blacksmith, SCA rapier fighter and mounted archer. He also does armor smithing, writes music, plays the flute, studies physics and reads a lot. This is his second year doing FTC robotics, the first year being a prep course that he did with the rest of the team. When he was five, eleven years ago, he sent a letter to SpaceX, telling them the best way to recover a rocket booster was to catch it.

Sarah

Sarah is in ninth grade and learned about FTC when she participated in FIRST LEGO League in seventh grade. In eighth grade, she took an FTC prep course that was offered at Compass along with the rest of the team. She likes skiing, swimming, track, and tennis, and loves reading. Sarah also enjoys playing violin and raising 4-H lambs. She hopes to pursue a career in robotics engineering.

Josh

Josh is in ninth grade, and loves cereal, jokes, and dogs. He takes flying lessons at the Roseburg airport. Josh found out about FTC robotics through FLL robotics and took a prep course last year for FTC with the other team members. Some day he hopes to be a fighter pilot and will use teamwork skills he has learned doing FTC to assist him in getting there.
